iCFM has a multi level CRM tool to maintain your client database. You will be able to add & manage:

  • Companies
  • Contacts
  • Products
  • Leads
Companies
Companies include both your Clients and the Product owner (if this is different). For example, your client may be an Agency, but if the product is Nike Air Force trainers then you should add two Company records, one for the agency and one for Nike. This allows you to link and track Projects you do for Nike, regardless of the agency that brought you the work; similarly, this means that you can track all Projects through an agency, regardless of the end Client.
Contacts

Contacts records can be added to multiple Companies, which is useful to track movement where employees move between Companies in the industry. This means you can keep the history of where they have worked and don't mess up your data with duplicated entries.

Products

In Advertising, Products are the things that are the focus or purpose of the commercial. You may many Projects for the same Company, but for different Products, e.g. a range of Oral-B Toothpastes & Toothbrushes. Keeping record of the Product means you can link and track all Projects related to the same Product.

In Film or Television, Products are the title of a Series or Franchise you're working on, so that related Projects can be created for seasons or instalments of a series. For example, having a Product Record for The Sopranos, or Star Wars would mean that Projects named The Sopranos Season 1, The Sopranos S01E01, or Star Wars III

Leads
Leads allow you to record information about a prospective Project with less information required when compared to adding a new Project. This means you can start off with the basics and add more details over time.
